Operating on the hot-face die-cut principle, molten polymer strands emerging from the circular die plate are sheared instantly in air by high-speed rotating cutter blades and flung by centrifugal force directly into a high-velocity rotating water ring circulating along the inner chamber wall.<\/p>\n<p>Because pellets are cut before water contact and quenched immediately in the swirling water vortex, the water ring pelletizer completely eliminates the manual labor, strand breaking, and complex line stringing inherent in traditional water-bath strand systems.
